Help with Remindone

Help with tasks, projects, synchronization and backups.

Three dates, three purposes

Availability determines when a task appears in Available. A planned date records when you intend to work on it. A due date records the deadline. Set them separately in the task editor.

In synchronization settings, choose Use iCloud on each device signed in to the same Apple Account. Local changes remain saved when the network is unavailable; synchronization resumes when the app is active and connectivity returns. Review any reported conflicts. Synchronization does not replace a backup.

Move a task

Drag a task to another position or project. Undo Move restores its previous state unless the task has been changed in the meantime.

Find an unfinished edit

On Mac, iPhone and iPad, open Drafts from the More menu. A draft is separate from saved tasks. Portable library exports do not include drafts.

Keep a copy outside your device

In the native app, open External backups, save your recovery password in a password manager and choose a folder on another drive or in cloud storage. Automatic copies are made while the app is open. Back up now creates an additional copy.

Check that the copy is really available

Last verified copy means Remindone successfully read the saved file back. For a cloud folder, check the file on another device too: a local check does not prove the upload finished. Keep the password separately from the device.

Restore a backup

Use Import encrypted backup and enter the recovery password. Existing saved items are kept and missing items are added; a different version of an existing item is not silently overwritten. If the library needs recovery, keep the damaged files and use the recovery screen. Check the recovered tasks before resuming synchronization.

A folder or password is unavailable

If access to the backup folder is lost, grant access again through the folder picker. Stopping automatic copies keeps earlier files. An encrypted backup cannot be opened without its password; Remindone cannot recover that password for you.

At your wrist

The watch app is a companion. Use the phone for library management and backups. A task not yet received by the watch is not evidence that it has been deleted from the phone.

Before asking for help

Note the app version, device model and the action that failed. Keep your existing library and backups. Do not include your recovery password or a full task export in a support request.

Free use and the planned subscription

The planned free tier allows 100 unfinished tasks. Completed tasks in the Logbook do not count toward this limit. Remindone Plus will remove this limit with an annual subscription; purchases are not yet available in this beta. After expiration, existing tasks will remain readable, editable and exportable. You will still be able to complete tasks. Without a subscription, you will need to go below the limit before adding or reopening a task.
